Road Closure – Lodge Lane, Old Catton For Road Resurfacing

Essential work will start on Monday 24th August 2020 to resurface Lodge Lane, Old Catton. The work to resurface the entire length of the road, including the mini roundabouts at St Faiths Road, is expected to take 9 days, subject to suitable weather conditions.

To carry out the work safely it will be necessary to close Lodge Lane to all through traffic at this location during the work.

To minimise disruption the work will be carried out at off peak times only – between 09:00-16:00. The road will be open at all other times as well as also being open during the bank holiday weekend of 29th-31st August 2020.

Vehicle access to businesses and homes within the limits of the works will be maintained from one end of the closure at all times. Bus companies have been notified so they are able to plan accordingly.

A fully signed official diversion route will be in place while surfacing works are in progress.

The County Council would like to thank people for their patience while these works to replace the existing worn out road surface are carried out.

The work which will cost approximately £180,000 will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and their contractors.
